Who are the organizers of the IPL Marathon Cash Games Weekend?

Where is the event being held?
Poker Room on board Casino Royale, Goa.
The purpose of the event?
The event in being held in an attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Record's longest marathon poker session held by Phil Laak - 115 hours at the Bellagio in Las Vegas in June 2010. We want to change poker history and all of that is going to happen right here in India at the Casino Royale, Goa in November 2011.
Date of the event?
22nd to 27th November 2011.
How can one register and pay fees?
Maximum 9 players will attempt to break this record and registrations are being accepted right now. The first 9 to sign-up will attempt the record and as places are fast filling up, we suggest any players interested should contact us by emailing info@theshark.in or by calling Pranav Bagai +91 9818206165.
Registration fees for the attempt in INR 10,000 and the last man left attempting will win the amount collected towards the attempt.
Do players get any breaks during the record 115 hour attempt?
As per Guinness regulation, players are allowed 5 minutes rest for every continuously completed hour of playing poker. This amount can be accumulated over time and any rest time that has been accumulated can be taken in full or in part at the discretion of the participant at the appropriate time. Rest breaks are the only time the claimant can take a bathroom break or sleep during the attempt. They may consume food and drink while the record is in progress, but this must not disrupt the flow of the attempt.
Cost of entry into Casino?
Complementary entry into Casino Royale, Goa for all poker players attending the event between 22nd-27th November 2011.
What are the blind levels for the attempt?
Throughout the attempt blind levels will remain at 100-200.
What is the buy-ins for the attempt?
Minimum starting buy-in for the attempt are 10k, after which all players attempting the record are allowed unlimited buy-ins. All other players playing on the table where the attempt is being held are allowed a maximum buy-in of 40k at anytime.
Will there be a documented list of Guinness rules available?
Yes. Card Room manager will have a list of all rules to be adhered for the record attempt.
Is the event officially sanctioned and what guidelines will be followed?
The event has been officially sanctioned by Guinness World Records, the ultimate authority on record-breaking achievement and the organizers are taking every care to follow the guidelines provided by Guinness such that if the record is broken, then the record should get listed with Guinness.
Will there be an Event director?
Yes. A professional casino manager from the Poker Room will be the Event Director and will manage the entire event.
How will disputes be handled? Who will have the final say?
The Event Director.
Will there be any other games during the tournament?
We invite all you poker enthusiasts out there to come participate, watch, cheer and support the participants in putting India on the World Poker Map. Cash games will be available every day with blind levels to suit all pockets, 100/200, 200/500, 500/1000, 1000/2000. Other games will be made available on request
What about the F&B?
F&B at Casino Royale is complimentary for all players during the event
